SLK Realty, Inc. was formed in 1989 by Scott Coleman. Scott has been active in all aspects of the real estate industry for the past 30 years. During this time period, Scott has been involved in the acquisition, construction, development and management of over $250 million of commercial and multi-family real estate properties. All of these properties have been located in the southeastern United States with a special emphasis on Florida.

Scott’s experience includes 3 ½ years with Florida’s premier resort and community developer, the Arvida Corporation. During his tenure at Arvida, Scott developed numerous commercial properties with an emphasis on specialty shopping centers. These properties included shopping centers in Boca Raton (Parkway Center serving Boca West), Weston and Sawgrass (Arvida’s ocean front resort in Jacksonville). Scott also assisted in the expansion of the Longboat Key specialty shopping center in Sarasota, as well as the Town Center mall in Boca Raton. He left Arvida after the successful purchase and sale of Arvida with the Bass family to the Walt Disney Company.

The next assignment in Scott’s career was to establish a regional office for a Midwest based commercial developer. As the Managing General Partner, Scott oversaw the development of seven properties consisting of over 1,000,000 square feet with an aggregate value of approximately $80,000.00. Upon his departure, Scott had a staff of twenty-five to oversee the management and leasing of the property portfolio.

Scott’s recent focus has been to purchase undervalued assets from the financial institutions with the focus on retail properties. His current portfolio consists of ten properties containing over 300,000 square feet. Scott is the majority owner in each of these properties.
